IMPROVING CAPACITIES OF OIK
UNDP support through engagement of a legal adviser to improve the OI’s capacity to identify systematic human rights issues submitted to the courts and provide legal opinions and recommendations in accordance with Ombudsperson’s “amicus curiae” mandate (20 March – 19 July 2018).
The Ombudsperson’s work is directly and indirectly supported through EU grants to civil society organisations, for the moment one such project is led by ECMI and the other one is led by KIPRED.
PLATFORM OF OIK FOR NGO REPORTS DEALING WITH HUMAN RIGHTS IN KOSOVO
Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), mainly financing awareness campaigns and capacity building programmes; also in the framework of the project “Promotion of Legal and Justice Sectors respecting the Right to Equality before the Law, regardless of Gender, Ethnicity, Religion or other Personal Characteristics” has supported OIK in the development of the OIK website and the “online” platform. The platform is designed in order to provide a comprehensive inter-institutional approach where will be presented reports and recommendations from civil society organizations working and contributing to human rights in Kosovo.
