IO and NGO “Eyes Need Light” organized a roundtable on the topic “Communicating through Art”

Pristina, December 6th, 2025 – In the framework of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Ombudsperson’s Institution in cooperation with the NGO “Eyes Need Light” organized a roundtable on the topic “Communicating through Art”.
The Ombudsman, Mr. Naim Qelaj, said that this day reminds us all of the duties and obligations we have to fulfill our responsibilities towards citizens in need.
He added that the institution will continue to work and remind public authorities to work in accordance with the law and all standards to fulfill their obligations towards persons with disabilities.
The Director of the NGO “Eyes Need Light” thanked the participants and expressed her happiness for the guests from Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Presheva and Turkey. This organization also opened the exhibition of paintings created by persons with disabilities.
The Mayor of Suhareka Municipality, Mr. Bali Muharremaj, Mayor of the Municipality of Presheva, Ms. Ardita Sinani, Mr. Igli Totozani OSCE’s director of regional office in Gjilan, and Mr. Afrim Maliqi, director of Handikos.
