Ombudsperson took part in discussion about women rights

Pristina, December 3rd, 2025 – As part of the 16 days of activism, the Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj, participated in the round table organized by the Ministry of Justice on “The right of girls and women to inheritance and property”.
The Ombudsperson said that the right to inheritance in Kosovo is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and also by the law on inheritance.
He added that, however, work still needs to be done to change the mindset in society when it comes to equality in inheritance and this equality starts at each home.
