The work plan between OI and CSOs is presented

Pristina, June 12th, 2024 – Today, the second regular working meeting for 2024 of the Forum for Dialogue between the Ombudsperson Institution and Civil Society Organizations was held.
During this meeting, the work and activities plan of the Forum for the year 2024/2025 was presented. This plan was developed in close cooperation with civil society organizations. The joint organization and implementation of the activities outlined in this plan, aimed at promoting and advancing the protection of human rights in the country, were also discussed.
According to the 2024/2025 action plan, the primary focus is on the following issues: treatment and institutional care for the mental health of children and citizens over the age of 65, protection of children from violence, gender equality, environmental protection, the protection of the rights of children and the rights of persons with disabilities, among others.
During the meeting, concerns were raised regarding the lack of provision of services for people over the age of 65 in the Draft Law on Mental Health, as well as the lack of social services for children with disabilities, children without parental care, and children in street situations.
