Ms. Çavdarbasha Korenica spoke about the mandate and powers of the Ombudsperson, and in particular about the practical work of how complaints are handled and the relationship of the Ombudsperson’s Institution with the judiciary and the prosecution.

On the other hand, Mrs. Ibraj Mala informed those present about the work and activities of the MKP, which has the duty to visit regularly and without warning all places where persons deprived of their liberty are kept, including police detention, prisons and others, to see if such institutions respect human rights.

The Academy of Justice organizes a one-year training for newly appointed judges and prosecutors, where, in addition to practical training, they visit various institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
