Pristina, February 9th, 2024 – Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj hosted Mr. Andin Hoti, chairman of the Governmental Commission for Missing Persons, which leads, supervises and coordinates activities with local and international institutions to clarify the fate of missing persons.

Mr. Hoti spoke about the work and activities of the commission and the challenges faced by this commission, emphasizing that some of the activities they have are the support of families and cooperation with local associations. He added that the commission and the working group are working on completing and amending the law on missing persons.

Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj emphasized that existing and new initiatives in the field of transitional justice should influence the greater realization of the victims’ rights to justice and reparations.
