Prishtina, 27 June 2023 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj, hosted in a meeting the Chairman of the KEDS-KSCO Trade Union, Mr. Ahmet Hyseni, and the President of the Prishtina District Association, Mr. Ahmet Mujeci, with whom he discussed about respect of the rights of employees at KEDS-KSCO.

Mr. Hyseni informed the Ombudsperson about the organization and functioning of the trade union, protection of the rights of employees, functioning of the women’s rights forum and about a series of issues raised by the trade union in relation to the respect and fulfilment of the rights of employees in this company.

The Ombudsperson informed the attendees about the activities carried out and those planned in the framework of the Task Force on Gender-Sensitive Standards for Occupational Safety, Health and Decent Work, which include the rights, measures and policies that ensure employees a safe and healthy work environment, and also reaffirmed the cooperation on issues raised in compliance with the mandate and powers of the OIK.
