Pristina, January 12th, 2023 – Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj participated in the two-day conference on the topic “Human rights in the 21st century”, organized by the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkey.  The conference was held on January 11th and 12th in Ankara, Turkey.

In this conference, with the participation of Ombudsmen from many countries of the world, the future of human rights was discussed, the role of Ombudsmen in the protection and promotion of human rights, human rights in times of war, the migration situation; the impact of the pandemic on human rights and the effect of digitization on human rights.

In his speech, the Ombudsperson spoke about the mandate of the Ombudsperson’s Institution of Kosovo, the challenges and achievements so far.
