Pristina, 20 May 2022 – As part of the promotional activities of the Ombudsperson Institution, the Deputy Ombudsman, Ms. Marija Radulovic, together with a colleague of the Regional Office in Prizren, Mr. Hajriz Kelmendi visited the school “Svetlost”, in the village of Krusevo, Dragash municipality.

This activity aims to inform students and teachers about the mandate and role of the Ombudspeson in the protection and promotion of human rights, especially in raising awareness of the need to prevent corporal punishment in schools, as well as their ability to address the OI regarding human rights violations.

Teachers and students from 7th, 8th and 9th grades are also acquainted with the Regulation of the OI no. 01/2019 on special procedures for receiving, handling and resolving children’s complaints or complaints related to children’s rights.

Finally, the teachers were provided with the annual reports of the Olympics, while the students were given promotional material.
