
Task Force on gender sensitive standards of safety and health at work established
Pristina, 25 October 2021 – An informal advocacy task force on gender sensitive standards of safety and health at work and decent work was established by a wide range of actors in this field.
The Task Force consists of the Ombudsperson as a chair, while the co-chair will be the representative of the Women’s Caucus and a number of civil society organizations, as well as the Labor Inspectorate, Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, and the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo. UN Women will provide the secretariat in support of the Chair.
This task force is created to develop, advocate and promote occupational safety and health for all and will meet every three months.
The task force will also establish a platform for the regular exchange of information, awareness raising, and advocacy for functional formal mechanisms and social dialogue at the national level.
