Ombudsperson met minister of local government, Mr. Elbert Krasniqi

Pristina, 23 September 2021 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj met on Thursday the Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Elbert Krasniqi and his associates, in which they discussed various topics related to the close interest of the citizens of the country.
Topics discussed included, among others, the right reserved for the position of deputy mayors from the ranks of communities, the issue of stray dogs, the management and maintenance of cemeteries, the completion of the quota for employment of persons from communities, and strengthening the municipal offices for protection against discrimination.
Mr. Krasniqi expressed readiness and interest for cooperation with the OIK in order to implement the recommendations from the Ombudsperson.
