Ombudsman met with civil society organisation’s representatives

Pristina, 29 July 2021 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj met on Thursday the representatives of non-governmental organizations that deal with activities dedicated to people with disabilities.

They discussed about the work and activities of the organisations for the blind, deaf, children with autism and Down syndrome, and in particular about the problems they encounter in their work.
Mr. Qelaj said that the work of civil society organizations is important and vital for a democratic society which are drivers for the improvement and promotion of human rights in the country.
The Ombudsperson also praised the commitment of the emigrants and their contribution given to people with disabilities, emphasizing the work of Mrs. Shqipe Kryeziu, as a representative of an association in Switzerland that has brought a lot of help to this community.
