Pristina, April 22 nd 2021 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj, on the occasion of the International Earth Day, met with the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Mr. Liburn Aliu, with whom he discussed the importance of protecting the environment, as one of the human rights.

They also discussed about the environmental problems such as water, soil and air pollution, waste management problems, hydropower plants, etc. and the importance of ranking the environment in government priorities.

The Ombudsperson and the Minister agreed to strengthen cooperation in order to respect the right to a safe and healthy environment.
