Prishtina, March 17, 2021 – The People’s Advocate, Mr. Naim Qelaj met on Tuesday with the chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council. Mr. Skender Çoçaj and the Chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Mr. Jetish Maloku, and their collaborators.

The topic of discussion was the Law on Disciplinary Liability of Judges and Prosecutors and they stressed that this law has further advanced the aspect of accountability by judges and prosecutors.

The discussion also raised the question about the role that the Law on Disciplinary Liability of Judges and Prosecutors gives to the Ombudsman, as well as the fact that the Ombudsman has the status in the procedures of alleged violations against judges and prosecutors.
