Pristina, 24 February 2021 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj received on Wednesday in a meeting Mr. Enver Fejzullahu, director of the Academy of Justice, Mr. Habit Hajredini, director of the office for good governance within the office of the Prime Minister, and Mr. Ardian Latifaj and Mrs. Virgjina Dumnica, UNDP representatives.

The coordination of joint activities in order to strengthen and implement the Law on Protection from Discrimination and awareness of the general public about the rights they have with this law were the topics of the discussion.

This meeting comes as a result of the commitment of the Ombudsperson’s Institution, as one of the focus groups, which has helped identify the main issues and challenges in the field of discrimination and gender equality.

This work has been done in support of the Academy of Justice in designing their training program against discrimination and gender equality, already integrated within the framework program of the Academy for 2021 and 2022.
