Pristina, 23 February 2021 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj accompanied by his associates met on Tuesday Mr. Ismail Dibrani, director of the correctional center in Dubrava.

Mr. Qelaj also visited the wards and met the prisoners, workshops and the school, and other premises of the center. Mr. Qelaj said that he is satisfied that the OIK always finds full cooperation from the authorities and stressed that he will continue to contribute in this regard.

The National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture (NPMT) conducts regular visits, at all times and unannounced, to all places where persons deprived of their liberty are held, including police detention stations, remand detention facilities, prisons, and places where foreigners deprived of liberty are located.
