12 October 2020, Prishtinë – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj, on Monday welcomed in a meeting representatives of the United Nations Agencies in Kosovo, known otherwise as the United Nations Kosovo Team (UNKT), which includes 19 agencies.

Mr. Qelaj welcomed representatives of UN Agencies in this introductory meeting and pointed out that he has been informed on the joint work so far between the agencies and the Ombudsperson Institution (OI).

He pointed out that OI is grateful for the work accomplished by these Agencies with regard to improvement of Kosovo citizens’ lives and added that he will be committed to continue the cooperation in the future with these Agencies.

Mrs. Ulrika Richardson, UN Development Coordinator and UNKT Head, congratulated Mr. Qelaj for the position of the Ombudsperson and wished him success at work. She emphasized that UNKT has worked with the OI on a number of projects and expressed willingness to continue cooperation in the future as well.

Representatives of other agencies also congratulated Mr. Qelaj and informed him briefly on their work in Kosovo.
