October 2, 2020, Prishtina – The Ombudsman, Mr. Naim Qelaj met on Friday the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaci.

President Thaçi welcomed him in a courtesy meeting to congratulate for taking the post of the Ombudsman wishing him success at work.

He stressed that the values and virtue of Mr. Qelaj will be a great contribution to the Institution which, according to him, has already made a tradition in protecting the rights of Kosovo citizens regardless of political, ethnic or religious.

Mr. Naim Qelaj expressed gratitude for the invitation for a meeting by President Thaçi and added that he will be committed with dedication and professionalism to strengthen the institution of the People’s Advocate in the service of protecting the rights of all citizens.

They discussed the work and responsibilities of the Omnudsman’s Institution and that the cooperation between the two institutions will continue in the future.
