Press release – OI presents the guideline of the European Court of Human Rights Decisions – HUDOC.
Prishtinë, 22 January – Ombudsperson Institution (OI), jointly with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), on Wednesday disclosed a guideline to judges, prosecutors, professional associates and legal officials regarding opportunities and searching options in collection of European Court of Human Rights Decisions – HUDOC.
The guideline provides explanations as per the content of the database and ECtHR decision searching process, as well as provides concrete explanations for classification of information based on state, language, articles of the Convention as well as other options.
The HUDOC (Human Rights Documentation) database contains judgments, rulings, legal summaries and press releases concerning cases decided by the European Court of Human Rights, ECtHR. The Ombudsperson and UNDP, through this material aim to further advance implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights in the sector of justice in Kosovo.
This guideline, drafted with the professional and financial support of UNDP and the Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo, particularly will assist legal officers and professional associates in Courts and Prosecution as per interpretation of laws and sub-legal acts in the spirit of Article 53 of the Constitution of Republic of Kosovo.
