The Ombudsperson launched the Regulation on Special Procedures for Admission, Handling and Addressing Complaints Filed by Children or Complaints Relating to Children’s Rights

Prishtina, 6 November 2019 – The Ombudsperson launched the Regulation on Special Procedures for Admission, Handling and Addressing Complaints Filed by Children or Complaints Relating to Children’s Rights. This activity was supported by the Non-Governmental Organization Terre des hommes.

The concerned Regulation sets special rules/standards on admission, handling and addressing complaints relating to children’s rights, by guaranteeing and respecting their rights and freedoms foreseen by the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, Laws and other Acts, as well as International Human Rights Instruments, particularly the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Moreover, this Regulation stipulates also the main principles that any official of the Ombudsperson Institution shall consider but not be limited to, during the admission, handling and addressing of complaints filed by children or complaints relating to children’s rights.
