PRISHTINË, 15 March  – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Hilmi Jashari and UNDP Resident Representative in Kosovo, Mrs. Alessandra Roccasalvo, signed a Memo of Understanding, with the aim of ensuring a framework for cooperation within the scope of the  project “ Support for Strengthening the Rule of Law in Kosovo” .

The project ” Support for Strengthening the Rule of Law in Kosovo” is funded by Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through  the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo, which aims to support reforms in the sector of justice, to improve citizens’ access to justice, to promote and protect human rights and to provide support to institutions of justice in increasing their efficiency.

While, one of the components of this project, through partnership in cooperation with Ombudsperson Institution and the UNDP, is the goal to further strengthen protection and promotion of human rights, guaranteed by the legislation at force and international instruments in the country. Additionally, with particular emphasis, to further promote Sustainable Development Goals, deriving from Agenda 2030.
