Prishtinë, 16 January – The Ombudsperson Mr. Hilmi Jashari, held a lecture to students of the following program: “The European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratization (EMA)” with the headquarters in Vienna of Austria and Venice of Italy, who come to Kosovo every year for a study visit within the scope of their Master’s Degree program, in the field of democratization and human rights.

The aim of the lecture was to give an overview to these students regarding the overall situation of human rights in Kosovo as well as functioning of the Ombudsperson Institution, as of its establishment till nowadays, including complaint procedures, cooperation with domestic and international institutions, best practices, but at the same time the challenges and obstacles which the institution meets in the course of accomplishing its functions.

The lecture proceeded with questions and answers in the course of which students were provided with the opportunity to make questions regarding different issues in the field of human rights in the country.
