The Ombudsperson hosted on a two days’ visit the delegation of Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination of Republic of Albania, Mr. Robert Gajda and his two associates.

The Ombudsperson informed the delegation regarding the work of the Ombudsperson Institution in the direction of combating discrimination and inequality, on the work of the Department for Protection from Discrimination as well as on that of Reporting and Promotion of Human Rights in the direction of promotion and public awareness rising regarding nondiscrimination and equality.

Gajda, informed the Ombudsperson regarding activities as well as challenges of the Office of Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination of the Republic of Albania.

The focus of discussion was finding the best possible methods for strengthening cooperation between mechanisms for protection from discrimination of the Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Albania, with the aim of sharing best practices and endeavors as well as to ensure the necessary and effective level of protection of these rights towards negative phenomena of discrimination or discriminatory behaviors.
