CDF HIV Program Manager, Dr. Edona Deva together with the CDF Legal Expert, Ms. Edona Ahmetaj, Executive Director of CSGD, Mr. Arbër Nuhiu, and Ms. Emel Ajdini from NGO INTEGRA, met with the Ombudsperson, Mr. Hilmi Jashari and Ms. Majlinda Sinani Lulaj.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform the Ombudsperson about the Global Fund program in Kosovo, managed by CDF, about PAG’s scope of work supported by the GF grant, as well as to discuss issues of stigma and discrimination related to HIV and AIDS. The program is focused on strengthening, policy development and joint advocacy of interested parties, civil society and respective governmental structures.

Both parties discussed the possibilities and opportunities for support of human rights related issues within their mandate and the removal of legal barriers to ensure better access to prevention and treatment services.
