The Ombudsperson, in cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations in the Republic of Kosovo, undertook a joint initiative for marking International Human Rights Day on 10th of December.

At the same time this initiative marks, the first time when the Ombudsperson and Non-Governmental Organizations in cooperation will sign a joint Declaration, through which stakeholders of state powers are called upon for additional engagement on protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, equality and without discrimination.

The initiative aims sending a powerful massage for additional inclusive and cross-institutional engagement on promoting and awareness rising on human rights and fundamental freedoms as well as undertaking of joint actions intending development of effective cooperation on respect of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Kosovo.

Joint Declaration of the Ombudsperson and Non-governmental organizations will be signed in this occasion as well as a march with the moto “Stand up for human rights” will be organized.

On 10 December 2017, starting from 11:00, in front of Kosovo National Theatre the joint Declaration will be read and the march with the moto “Stand up for human rights” will be organized, starting from Kosovo National Theatre up to ,, Zahir Pajaziti ’’square.
