National Preventive Mechanism of Torture (NPM), within the scope of Ombudsperson Institution, on 9 October 2017 conducted a visit to the Police Station in Lipjan, on 18 October 2017 to the Police Station in Podujeva and to the Detention Center for Foreigners in Vranidoll; while on 19 October 2017 the Mechanism visited the Police Station in Mitrovica and Vushtrri.

During the visit conducted to the Police Stations, full support and cooperation was provided to NPMT by the Kosovo Police. The monitoring team, comprising of a legal officer, a physician and a psychologist, had immediate access to all premises and was provided with all information needed to perform the work according to the mandate entrusted. Additionally, the staff of Detention Center for Foreigners in Vranidoll provided full cooperation to the NPMT.

As per findings, Reports with Recommendations will be draft by NPMT and will be delivered to the responsible institutions.
