The Ombudsperson jointly with the team of National Preventive Mechanism of Torture (NPMT) has participated in a study visit to the Austrian Ombudsman Board, from 4 to 6 October 2017.

The visit aimed exchanging of best practices regarding functioning of the National Preventive Mechanism of Torture. On the first day, the visit was focused on the structure and development of the Austrian Ombudsman Mechanism, methodology of work, protocols and visit reporting. The focus of the second and the third day were functions, duties and responsibilities of the National Preventive Mechanism of Torture from the perspective of a physician and psychologist.

The Ombudsperson Institution of Kosovo is pleased to strengthen its cooperation with the Austrian Ombudsman Board (AOB) on a bilateral basis.
