The Ombudsperson is participating in International Conference of Information Commissioners and Ombudsmen ICIC 2017
The Ombudsperson, Mr. Hilmi Jashari, is participating in the 10th International Conference of the Information Commissioners and Ombudsmen ( #ICIC2017) in Manchester, Great Britain.
The Conference aims to explore a wide range of issues which affect the Information Commissioners or institutions which are responsible in the respective countries for access to information across the world. Topics to be discussed during the Conference include innovations in access to information, the future of transparency, global access models and how they function, journalists and access to information / open data, as well as discussions will focus on progressive information rights and how to achieve them.
Throughout the Conference, participants will have the opportunity to attend panelists’ presentations coming from different countries of the world, such as Canada, United States, Germany, India, Great Britain, Australia, Spain, Mexico, Sierra Leone, Albania, Bulgaria, Ireland, Scotland etc.
Participants of this Conference, jointly with the Information Commissioners and Ombudsmen (including the Ombudsman of Europe), are representatives coming from various professional profiles, including academics, journalists, civil society representatives, communication and information policy professionals, legal officers, etc.
Conference will be jointly hosted by Office of the Information Commissioner of Great Britain and the Office of the Information Commissioner of Scotland. Conference will take place on 20 and 21 September 2017.
