The Ombudsperson Institution (OI) and the UNICEF Office in Kosovo, have reactivated today online Platform “ Know Your Rights “ (link http://knowyourrightsks.org/sq/ )

This online Platform, created by Innovation Lab Kosovo (UNICEF), in the ownership of Ombudsperson Institution, as a key institution for promotion and protection of human rights and freedoms, sets the emphases on prioritized spheres for 16-29 years of age youth, such as: education, health, minority communities, employment, family, justice, community involvement, social benefits, youth empowerment, etc.

This Platform, with a friendly and simple language, provides information on series of Laws in the country as well as institutions which youth can address in order to request implementation of guaranteed rights according to applicable legislation in Kosovo.

Presently, the Platform is also in the process of inclusion of a project by Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) in Kosovo that would open up the possibility of filing complaints by young people to other public authorities, whose mandate is rule of law enforcement.

Within the scope of Platform promotion, UNICEF Innovations Lab Kosovo presented also the Action Plan, which will be accomplished in cooperation with OI. Within the function of implementation of activities foreseen with this Plan, different schools will be visited in seven Kosovo municipalities in order to present the Platform and at the same time to discuss about their rights and simultaneously, a competition will be organized for youth who can apply with their own campaigns on youth rights and use of this Platform.
