The Ombudsperson, Mr. Hilmi Jashari, participated today on launching of the project: “Child Protection safety network – Phase III”, organized by Terre de hommes, Delegation in Kosovo.

On this occasion, during his speech, the Ombudsperson highly evaluated beginning of implementation of the third phase of this project with the believe that it will provide assistance to state authorities in establishing effective system for appropriate protection of children as well as implementation of the Law on Child Protection. Protection of children and improvement of their lives can be done and should be done through utmost engagement, not solely of state institutions and other actors involved in the work in this direction, but through engagement of the entire Kosovo society in general, has been emphasized by the Ombudsperson.

Core focus of the project which has been launched today is assistance and support for the respective authorities on implementation of the Law on Child Protection, development of secondary legislation, development of new specialized services as well as development and strengthening of mechanisms for monitoring and accountability.
