The Mayor of the Municipality of Gjakova, Mrs. Mimoza Kusari – Lila, today welcomed the Ombudsperson Mr. Hilmi Jashari, and had a constructive discussion about various important topics for the citizens of Gjakova Municipality.

During the discussion conducted, the Mayor of Gjakova Municipality, Mrs. Mimoza Kusari – Lila and the Ombudsperson Mr.  Hilmi Jashari agreed on further cooperation of both institutions as well as implementation of recommendations provided by Ombudsperson, then agreed to cooperate on mediation of different emergent cases, improve the level of overall cooperation of both institutions, etc.

During the meeting both parties expressed their willingness to appoint one person as a liaison person between two institutions, who besides improving the cooperation level of both institutions, will serve at the same time as contact point for citizens in need of Ombudsperson’s services.

All citizens of Gjakova Municipality, who seek legal advices in the Municipality of Gjakova concerning their private cases, are encouraged to cooperate and request intermediation and legal advices through the office of Ombudsperson.
