Prishtinë, 31 March 2016 – Based on Article 35, paragraph 1 of the Constitution of Republic of Kosovo and Article 29, paragraph 1 and 2 of the Law on Ombudsperson, the Ombudsperson Institution has submitted today the fifteenth Annual Report to the Assembly of Republic of Kosovo, which reflects situation of human rights during 2015.

Annual reporting of the Ombudsperson Institution in the Assembly of Republic of Kosovo is a good opportunity to reflect on the influence that the Ombudsperson has, as independent mechanism, in monitoring of the work and services of public authorities towards citizens, efficiency of services provided and use of legal remedies, compliance with administrative procedures as well as improvement of administration and accountability.

The Ombudsperson expects from the Assembly of Republic of Kosovo to review the Annual Report in a plenary session, during the spring session, as stipulates Article 23, paragraph 3 of the Law on Ombudsperson.
