Ombudsperson Institution (OI) notifies that Ombudsman of Republic of Albania, associated with his coworkers, will stay on an official visit in Prishtina, on 7 March 2016 (on Monday).

On this occasion, Mr. Hilmi Jashari, Ombudsperson of Republic of Kosovo and Mr. Igli Totozani, Ombudsman of Republic of Albania will sign Cooperation Agreement between two homologue Institutions with the intent to strengthen cooperation on citizens’ interest of the respective counties striving to effective protection of human rights and freedoms from unlawful actions of public authorities. Specifically, the Agreement refers to exchange of experience and best practices regarding National Preventive Mechanism of torture, which has been established in Kosovo as well, with the special decision, based on Law on Ombudsperson No. 05/ L- 019.

10:30 Arrival of the Albanian delegation / Welcoming

11:00 Signing of Cooperation Agreement

(Signing of the Agreement will take place in OI Main Office. Time for providing answers on questions by present journalists is reserved as well)

13:00 Meeting with Mr. Kadri Veseli, Speaker of the Assembly of Republic of Kosovo.

(The venue of the meeting will be the Assembly of Republic of Kosovo. You are invited to record the event)

14:00 Meeting with Mrs. Lirije Kajtazi, president of the Parliamentary Commission on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Mission Persons and Petitions (The meeting will take place in the Assembly of Republic of Kosovo. Media can record the event but can get statements as well)
