October 9, 2015- Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Isa Mustafa met today the Ombudsperson, Mr. Hilmi Jashari

During the meeting the Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa was informed by Mr. Jashari on key issues for which the Ombudsperson Institution (OI) awaits the support of the head of Government. Implementation of Ombudsperson’s recommendations, the issue of OI accommodation within the public building as well as the issue of respecting the legal guarantee concerning the annual budget according to OI requirements, adopted by the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, were the main topics on which the Ombudsperson focused on during the meeting with the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa expressed his readiness and support to request from the competent authorities implementation of Ombudsperson’s recommendations. He revealed his interest and willingness that the issues of OI accommodation in public building as well as the budget be resolved with foreseen standards and appropriate conditions set out for functioning of this important institution for the country, emphasizing the fact that the issue of enabling conditions for effective work of OI is one of the short-term requirements of the Feasibility Study for Kosovo.
