Information regarding marking of Children’s day
The World Conference for the Well-being of Children in Geneva, Switzerland, proclaimed June 1 to be International Children’s Day in 1925. In this conference, 54 state participants adopted Geneva Declaration for Child Protection. This date is being marked differently by many countries of the world. Different activities are planned on this day in order to make children happier as well as to promote well-being and their rights.
In order to mark International Children’s Day on the 1st of June, representatives of Ombudsperson Institution will welcome children in “Mother Theresa” Square, on Sunday, 31 of May 2015, from 11:00-14:00 in two tents wearing OI logo, where children will be provided with information regarding Ombudsman activities and engagements on promotion of rights of children.
