Prishtinë, 9 October 2014 – The Ombudsperson of the Republic of Kosovo has addressed a request today to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo regarding the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kosovo No.DKGJK-001-2014, of 31 August 2014 “on confirmation of mandate extension for international judges within Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo.

Question addressed to the Constitutional Court is: Can this deflection from the Constitution be justified based on the international agreement between Kosovo and European Union, ratified on 23 April 2014 and other laws at force in the Republic of Kosovo?
