
ROUND TABLE ON “OMBUDSPERSON INSTITUTION AND THE CUSTOMER’S RIGHTS “HAS BEEN HELD
Ombudsperson Institution organized a round table discussion in Prishtina, with the theme “Ombudsperson Institution and the Customer’s rights”. Representatives of institutions and public authorities as well as representatives of businesses and social society were invited to discuss about customer’s rights and circumstances of establishing a secure environment as per this issue.
Customer’s rights in Kosova are protected by special law which adjusts relation between consumers and those that offer such services, producers, suppliers and sellers. The law also guarantees principal consumer’s rights, including here: the right to protect consumer’s economic interests, the right to life protection, the right to health and asset protection, legal aspect of consumer protection, the right to appeal, the right to reimbursement, etc.
Many issues have been pointed out during this round table that requires attentiveness and cooperation of relevant factors. Nevertheless, joint conclusion derived from discussion held, pointed out the necessity of awareness rising on customer’s rights as well as provision of information about these rights and legal protection ensured by the law, comprise some of mandatory deeds to make improvements on this field.
