23rd of October 2013 – Within the scope of ongoing promotion of human’s rights and fundamental freedoms, the Ombudsperson Institution (OI) has continued to hold roundtables in the centers where its regional offices are functional.

OI has held roundtables yesterday and today with the theme “Accomplishment of Ombudsperson’s mission” in Prizren and Gjilan.
Those invited into these roundtable discussions were representatives of municipal authorities, judiciary, police, nongovernmental organizations and media who had the opportunity to conduct a joint discussion with the Ombudsperson, Mr. Sami Kurteshi, as well as other OI representatives.
The focus of discussion was accomplishment of OI mission, responsibilities as well as legal and constitutional limitations and current challenges in protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
These roundtables followed roundtables conducted on the occasion of opening new OI regional offices in Ferizaj and Gjilan.
