30 September 2013- The Ombudsperson, Mr. Sami Kurteshi hosted a group of children from Albania, organized within the scope of the Program for Child Rights Governance. The overall aim of the project is delegation of power to children in monitoring and advocating of their rights, supported by the Office of Save the Children in Albania.

During the meeting children from Albania exposed their work and the way how it is organized within the project in which they are fully involved as well as informed Mr. Kurteshi on findings and measures taken by them on identification of violation and in promotion of children’s rights in Albania.
The interest of children from Albania was focused on participation and children’s rights in Kosova, children groups which operate here, the way how cases are being reported in the Ombudsperson Institution (OI), about the outcomes and the way how they have been resolved, etc. They obtained extensive information on issues of their interest by the Ombudsperson who, in this meeting was accompanied by the senior legal advisor, Ms. Igballe Rrahmani.
