29 January 2013 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Sami Kurteshi received today in a visit the outgoing Head of the EULEX Mission in Kosovo Mr. Xavier De Marnhac, who is now ending his mandate.
Mr. Kurteshi thanked Mr. De Marnhac for the visit and mutual cooperation during the period Mr. Marnhac was Head of the EULEX Mission in Kosovo.
Mr. Kurteshi and Mr. De Marnhac during the meeting emphasized the necessity of implementation of the rule of law in Kosovo and transformation of continuous declarations into concrete actions in order to make steps forward in this respect. The rule of law guarantees a democratic system and also helps fulfillment of the challenging mission of the Ombudsperson Institution, as the protector and advocate of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
