12 December 2012 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Sami Kurteshi welcomed in a special meeting Head of the UNMIK Mission Mr. Farid Zarif. The aim of this meeting was cooperation between the Ombudsperson Institution and UNMIK in the area of Human Rights.

During the meeting, Mr. Kurteshi stressed out that the Ombudsperson Institution is open for cooperation with all parties intending to protect and promote Human Rights. He emphasized that positive steps are taken towards improving the services the Ombudsperson provides to the citizens of the country.

On the other hand, Mr. Zarif praised the Ombudsperson`s work considering it very important for the further improvement of Human Rights situation in Kosovo.

At the end of the meeting Mr. Kurteshi and Mr. Zarif expressed their readiness for further cooperation in the area of human rights.
