8 March 2012 – The newspaper “Kosova Sot”, on 8 March 2012, in the page four published the article of the journalist Mr. S. Ahmeti titled “The Ombudsperson and CDHRF ignored the public hearing in the Assembly of Kosovo regarding implementation of the Anti-Discrimination Law.

For the sake of truth, accurate and correct information, the Ombudsperson Institution feels an obligation to react in order to deny the information in the above-mentioned article regarding presence of the Ombudsperson.

The Ombudsperson Institution was represented in a public debate regarding Anti-Discrimination Law in the Assembly of Kosovo by Mr. Bogoljub Staletovič, the first Deputy Ombudsperson and Mrs. Merita Syla, legal adviser. The Ombudsperson Institution expressed its attitude regarding Anti-Discrimination Law through its representatives who were present during the public hearing.
