Acting Ombudsperson, Mr. Hilmi Jashari today had a meeting with the President of the Municipal Assembly of Prishtina Mr. Isa Mustafa with the aim to increase cooperation with Prishtina Municipality.
During this meeting, Mr. Jashari informed Mr. Mustafa about certain complaints addressed to the Ombudsperson Institution against Prishtina Municipality regarding expropriation of property and also legal aspect of the distribution process of kiosks in the Municipality of Prishtina .
Mr. Mustafa stated that property issues remain one of biggest challenges of Prishtina Municipality. He added that a department dealing with property issues was established within the municipality and they are making all efforts to identify and solve property issues.
Mr. Mustafa highly appreciated the work of the Ombudsperson Institution and said that Kosovo citizens are fortunate to have such institutions for the protection of their rights. He also expressed his commitment and readiness to cooperate with Ombudsperson Institution to promote human rights in Prishtina Municipality.
