Kosovo’s Acting Ombudsperson, Mr. Hilmi Jashari met with Kosovo’s Minister of Justice in, Mr. Jonuz Salihaj

During the meeting, Mr. Jashari discussed the development of the process regarding the kosovanisation of the institution and stressed the need for closer cooperation with Kosovo institutions, in particular with the Ministry of Justice, in protection of human rights.

Also, in this meeting the importance of providing appropriate legal mechanism for the effective and independent work of the Institution was discussed as was the need for ensuring the engagement of local authorities with concerns about the human rights situation in Kosovo.
