Pristina, October 6th, 2026 – Donjeta Pllana, Legal Advisor at the Institution of the Ombudsperson of Kosovo (IAP), has been confirmed as Co-Chair of the Working Group on Human Rights Defenders and Civic Space (HRD & Civic Space) of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI).

The election took place during the ENNHRI General Assembly meeting held on November 4, 2026, where the leadership composition for the Network’s working groups was determined.

This appointment serves as a significant recognition of the IAP’s expertise and contributions in the field of human rights. It also provides an opportunity to strengthen the institution’s international representation and advance European cooperation in protecting human rights defenders and civic space.
