Ombudsperson discussed environmnet issues in Stanisor

Priztina, 19th of June, 2025 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj, met with representatives of public institutions, civil society organizations and residents of the village of Stanishor, Gjilan municipality, with whom he discussed the issue of the environment.
The Ombudsperson informed them about his mandate and competencies, including his role in environmental protection. He emphasized that such meetings help him and the institution to better understand the challenges and problems of citizens.
The participants emphasized that the area continues to face environmental pollution from stone quarries, highlighting the destruction of the road and suggesting the construction of an alternative road for residents.
