
The Ombudsperson’s Institution will observe the 2025 Kosovo Assembly elections
Pristina, February 7, 2025 – Given the importance of the electoral process within a democratic system and appreciating the importance of independent, impartial and professional monitoring, the Ombudsperson’s Institution (OI) will observe, from a human rights perspective, the 2025 Kosovo Assembly Elections throughout the country.
Based on its mandate, the OI will observe the voting process in institutions where persons deprived of liberty are held, like homes for the elderly and those without family care, community integration homes and also regular voting centers.
In addition, the OI will keep the Central Office in Pristina open throughout the election day, to receive any complaints regarding allegations of violations of rights guaranteed by the legislation in force in the Republic of Kosovo, during the voting process.
