Pristina, July 13th 2021 – The Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj received in a meeting Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva Dermaku, Commissioner at the Agency of Information and Privacy and her associates.

They discussed common topics arising from their mandates, which mainly relate to the realization of citizens’ rights arising from the laws on access to public documents and protection of personal data.

Mrs. Sogojeva Dermaku unveiled her vision for strengthening the Agency and plans for inter-institutional and public cooperation as well so that citizens are informed as much as possible about their privacy rights.

Mr. Qelaj thanked Mrs. Dermaku for the visit and congratulated her on her new post and wished her success during her term. He stressed that the Institution of the Ombudsperson and the Agency for Information and Privacy have a common goal in the realization and protection of citizens’ rights. He said that he is ready for cooperation in order to better and successfully achieve the objectives by exchanging experiences of each other.
